Loader (Transportation from Courtenay available) (NEW WAGES)

Cumberland, BC Full-time $18.25 / hour

Emterra Environmental, in partnership with Adams Heavy Duty, is looking for loaders to join the Cumberland Curbside Team. The loader works alongside the driver to ensure routes are completed on schedule and that waste/recycling is collected, transported, and disposed of properly. This position reports to the Adams Route Supervisor.

• Monday-Friday - Guaranteed 40 hours – weekends off

Responsibilities:

• Collect curbside materials from residential buildings, businesses, and other facilities
• Maintain daily records of pickups
• Perform repetitive tasks including heavy lifting (55 lbs / 25 kg)
• Observe safe work practices
• Perform duties in all weather conditions (hot, cold, rain, or snow)
• Pick up refuse in other areas as required
• Dispose of curbside collections according to set policies and procedures
