Heidelberg Materials is seeking a Loader Operator for our facility located in Sheffield.

What You'll Get To Do

  • The Loader Operator is responsible for operating heavy equipment in a safe and appropriate manner. The Loader Operator must also maintain all equipment as directed per policies, procedures, and operator manuals.
  • Operate front-end loader to lift and transport bulk materials to and from storage areas, feed conveyors, hoppers, and load trucks.
  • Verify the amount of aggregate in storage bins and fill hoppers to ensure adequate quantity and quality of raw materials.
  • Participate in monthly and annual inventory of aggregates and fuel.
  • Remove leftover concrete from surfaces (windows, basins, etc.).
  • Perform routine maintenance on loaders, such as lubricating, fueling, and cleaning.
  • Ensure raw materials meet quality and quantity standards.
  • Meet or exceed established performance indicators.
  • Contribute to the improvement of the plant and surrounding area.
  • Follow environmental procedures to ensure compliance with regulations.
  • Participate in minor maintenance and visual evaluations of plant and equipment.
  • Collaborate with plant personnel to resolve problems and improve performance.
  • Transport cement and additives from storage using manual handling equipment.
  • Adhere to safety regulations and wear proper safety equipment at all times.
  • Perform other responsibilities as assigned.

What We Are Looking For

  • Ability to read, write, and speak English.
  • 1 year of Loader Operator experience preferred.
  • High school diploma preferred.
  • Heidelberg Materials is a Drug-Free Workplace.
