Job Description
As a global leader in asset management and disposition, Ritchie Bros. helps thousands buy and sell heavy equipment, trucks, and assets monthly through onsite and online platforms, emphasizing customer service, fairness, and transparency. We seek energetic, customer-focused individuals for the role of Yard Staff-Loader Operator (Part-Time) based in Edmonton, AB.

Responsibilities

1. Hold and maintain a valid, clean driver’s license
2. Climb on, off, and under large equipment and trucks
3. Work outside year-round, regardless of weather
4. Work overtime, including weekends, especially prior to, during, and after auctions
5. Travel to other auction sites within the region as needed
6. Operate all types of heavy equipment and trucks
7. Assist in setting up equipment in the yard for auctions
8. Help customers load equipment and answer related questions

Qualifications

1. Experience operating heavy machinery
2. Ability to operate a large 36,000 lbs forklift is an asset
3. Proficient in spoken and written English
4. Good computer skills and ability to learn new programs quickly
5. Track record of working safely and promoting safety among others
6. Excellent customer and team member relations
7. Ability to work well in a team and independently
8. Organized with multitasking skills
9. High attention to detail
10. Work ethic that balances hard work and enjoyment
