Reporting to the Foreman, the Loader Operator is responsible for the safe and efficient operation of a loader. The operator transports aggregates or other materials to stockpile aggregates for water and sewer installation projects.

How You’ll Add Value
  • Actively contribute to the safety culture, promoting a safe and productive work environment
  • Operate the loader with various attachments such as. a front-mounted, hydraulically powered bucket or scoop
  • Material handling and transportation to safely operate the loader on public and private roadways
  • Perform daily maintenance and safety checks on equipment, including routine cleaning and upkeep to ensure smooth loader operation
  • Perform in an outdoor setting, which could include inclement weather, heat, and humidity
  • Operate additional heavy equipment as required to support project needs
The ideal candidate for this position will possess the following:
Qualifications & Experience
  • 2+ years of experience operating a loaderin heavy civil construction
  • Physically able to safely lift and carry 25 lbs regularly
  • Valid Class 5 Driver’s License with a Driver’s Abstract showing no more than 6 demerits and no major infractions
  • Willing to travel and work out of town for short, fixed-term periods, as needed

The family atmosphere at Mainline Construction and its supporting community was a natural fit when Volker Stevin Canada purchased the company in 2014.
