You are a safety-conscious Loader Operator with previous Highway Construction experience. You will operate 844 John Deere or equivalent Loaders alongside our Highway Construction team on various projects throughout Alberta. You are a team player who ensures the well-being of others and lends a hand where needed.

Essential Responsibilities:
  1. Operate various sized loaders safely and efficiently on Highway Construction projects
  2. Communicate with other operators and crew members in work area
  3. Load trucks and feed asphalt plant
  4. Comply with and uphold Ledcor’s Health & Safety programs
Qualifications:
  1. Previous experience operating a loader in a paving/highway construction setting
  2. Successful completion of drug and alcohol testing is mandatory
  3. A valid driver’s license and a clean driver’s abstract are required
  4. Strong understanding of health and safety practices in daily work activities
  5. Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
  6. Mechanical aptitude is a strong asset
Work Conditions:
  1. This is a field-based position from May to November 2025
  2. Flexibility to work on projects throughout Alberta is required
  3. Shift rotations involve 10–14-hour workdays, including nights and overtime
  4. A living-out allowance of $140 per day is provided
  5. Preference is given to candidates with an RV or trailer, as a camp area with hookups is provided
