LaPrairie Works Inc., a leader in highway and bridge maintenance and civil construction in Alberta, is looking for an experienced Loader Operator to be part of our well-established concrete and aggregate division in Slave Lake, Alberta.

Responsibilities
  • Ensure safe work operations and full compliance with operating procedures.
  • Operate the Loader and other heavy equipment as required.
  • Receive directions from the site foreman regarding day-to-day operations and tasks.
  • When required, operate the loader in a safe manner as per OEM recommendations.
  • Conduct pre- and post-inspection checks of the equipment.
  • Maintain accurate records in the equipment log.
  • Assist in fueling and filling all the fluids in the equipment to the right level, with quantities reported in the inspection log.
  • Assist in the maintenance of the equipment.
  • Maintain good housekeeping practices at worksites and on equipment.
  • Prepare and submit required daily reports.
  • Perform other functions as needed.
Qualifications
  • Must possess a valid driver’s license and a clean driver’s abstract.
  • Must have experience operating a Loader.
  • Experience operating other heavy-duty equipment is an asset.
  • Pit and gravel loading experience is required.
