Qualifications

Job description

LaPrairie Works Inc, leader in highway and bridge maintenance and civil construction in Alberta, is looking for an experienced Loader Operator to join our well-established concrete and aggregate division in Slave Lake, Alberta.

Responsibilities:

  1. Ensure safe work operations and full compliance to operating procedures.
  2. Operate the Loader and other heavy equipment as required.
  3. Receive directions from site foreman regarding day-to-day operations and tasks.
  4. When required, must operate loader in a safe manner as per OEM recommendations.
  5. Pre- & post-inspection checks of the equipment.
  6. Maintain accurate records in equipment log.
  7. Responsible for and/or assists in fueling and filling all the fluids in the equipment to the right level. Quantity of fuel and fluids must be reported in the inspection log.
  8. Assist in the maintenance works of the equipment.
  9. Maintain good housekeeping practices at worksites and on equipment.
  10. Prepare and submit required daily reports.
  11. Perform other functions as needed.

Qualifications:

  1. Must possess a valid driver’s license and a clean drivers abstract.
  2. Must have experience operating a Loader.
  3. Experience operating other heavy-duty equipment is an asset.
  4. Pit and gravel loading experience required.
