Job Description

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Loader Operator to join our Ferrous team Monday to Friday 6:30am, every other Saturday as needed on a biweekly rotation.

Responsibilities
  • Safely operate a loader to handle and process metal materials efficiently
  • Load, unload, sort, and move metal materials using the appropriate equipment
  • Perform routine inspections, maintenance, and minor repairs on machinery and equipment to ensure optimal performance
  • Follow all safety guidelines and procedures to maintain a safe work environment, conduct pre-start checks and adhere to safety protocols during equipment operation
  • Sort and separate different types of metal materials based on specifications and quality requirements, ensuring proper segregation
  • Maintain accurate records of daily operations, including equipment usage, production quantities, and any incidents or maintenance activities
  • Communicate effectively with supervisors, co-workers, and other team members to coordinate work, share information, and ensure a smooth flow of operations
Qualifications
  • Proven experience as a Heavy Equipment Operator
  • Valid operator certifications
  • Strong knowledge of equipment safety practices
  • Mechanical aptitude and ability to perform routine maintenance and minor repairs on machinery
  • Effective communication skills and the ability to work well within a team environment
  • Adherence to work schedules and the ability to meet production targets
