Scope:

The role ofLoaderOperator within the Supply Chain department supports logistics and yard operations by performing variousloadertasks to support the movement of pipe and other materials within the yard according to applicable procedures, complying with defined quality standards. Stock is tracked in an efficient and accurate manner. This position works alongside yard labours to load pipe onto truck beds according to customer inventory and material order details (i.e. picking slip) as well as to offload incoming.

Role and Responsibilities

  • Work alongside yard labours to load and unload tubular pipes onto trucks
  • Support yard labour to efficiently offload tubular products from railcars and clean debris
  • Assist truck and delivery drivers to load and unload vehicles
  • Perform other material handling activities such as counting, sorting, packing and unpacking
  • Ensure product quality comply with defined standards and reporting deviations
  • Carry out duties in an effective manner meeting productivity and efficiency standards
  • Ensure proper use of the company assets, detecting and reporting malfunctioning equipment
  • Perform other duties as required, including, but not limited to effective yard and warehouse clean-up, yard maintenance, administrative duties

Experience

  • Minimum 2 year ofloaderoperator experience loading tubular products preferred, candidates with pipe/casing work experience in an industrial setting and inventory experience will be considered
  • LoaderOperator License
  • Rubber Tireloader complete with forks is required
  • Forklift experience required
  • Working at Heights required

Skills

  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. on a regular basis throughout the day; ability to walk / stand for duration of shift
  • Comfortable working outside for long durations in varied weather conditions
  • Experience and comfortability working from heights and around heavy equipment
  • Attention to detail is critical in the role
  • Punctual, reliable, and willing to work, overtime, on-call and weekends when required
  • Problem solving, decision making and effective communication skills and the ability to work in a team setting
  • Time management skills and the ability to prioritize tasks to ensure completion to meet deadlines
