Job summary

88 Supermarket in Vancouver is seeking a dedicated team member for its seafood department. You will greet customers, answer questions, suggest products, and assist with live seafood handling and display.

You will ensure proper stock rotation, process orders, maintain safety, and support training of junior staff while upholding food safety protocols and company standards.

Responsibilities

• Greeting and assisting customers with questions, recommendations and reaching for items.
• Support customers in any situation of emergency and accident and inform manager/supervisor immediately.
• Daily placement of merchandise to make it available to customers.
• Handle and prepare live seafood products.
• Wrapping, packaging, labeling products
• Stocking and maintaining the live seafood display.
• Carrying out stock rotation
• Proceed customer product orders and special-order product requests.
• Order and receive stock in accordance with company inventory control procedures as required.
• Maintain a clean and safe working environment as per Company requirements.
• Comply and implement all applicable company standards.
• Comply with all Food Safety Protocols, Standard Operating Procedures, Health and Safety, company policies, and other programs and initiatives.
• Participate in the training of junior staff.
