Job summary

ComForCare is seeking a live-in caregiver to support an elderly mother in Markham, Ontario. This short-term assignment runs from Oct 26 to Nov 2 (8 days).

The elderly lady has dementia and communicates in Greek; a Greek-speaking caregiver is preferred to facilitate communication. The role involves assisting with daily activities, personal care, meal planning and feeding, ROM exercises, light housekeeping, and providing companionship and respite for the family.

Qualifications

• Must be able to assist with daily activities to support independence.
• Provide personal care and assistance with daily living tasks.
• Must communicate with Greek-speaking family as needed.
• Training and development opportunities provided.

Short-term assignment. A family is looking for a live-in caregiver to support an elderly mother. The assignment is from Oct 26th to Nov 2nd for 8 consecutive days. The elderly lady is suffering from dementia. Fully mobile. As the elderly lady can only communicate in Greek, therefore, a Greek speaking caregiver is preferred.

What we are looking for:

• A passion to serve and help others live their best lives possible.
• High school diploma or G.E.D. certificate.
• Prefer Certified PSW or equivalent experience

What you will be doing:

• Assist with daily activities to help clients stay independent and in their own homes.
• Provide assistance with personal care.
• Assist with range of motion exercises.
• Handle meal planning, preparation and feeding.
• Properly manage household needs.
• Provide companionship and respite services for the family.

Salary Range:

• $180 per day.
