Job description

Killam Apartment REIT, based in Halifax, Nova Scotia, is one of Canada's largest residential real estate investment trusts, owning, operating, and developing a $5.3 billion portfolio of apartments and manufactured home communities. Killam's strategy to drive value and profitability focuses on three priorities : (1) increase earnings from the existing portfolio; (2) expand the portfolio and diversify geographically through accretive acquisitions, targeting newer properties and dispositions of non-core assets; and (3) develop high-quality properties in its core markets.

We currently have an opportunity available on our team for a customer-focused, energetic live-in Assistant Resident Manager for Spring Garden Terrace in Halifax. This position will entail up to 25 hours of cleaning per week and participation in the on-call rotation every 3rd week. The compensation for this position is based primarily on a rental incentive.

Responsibilities :

  • Shared on-call responsibilities;
  • Cleaning duties, including daily and weekly tasks;
  • Tenant relations, inquiries and rental calls;
  • First-line problem solving to manage tenant issues and build relations.

Qualifications :

  • Previous experience in cleaning, and customer service;
  • Strong communication and time management skills;
  • Ability to work well in a team environment with minimum supervision;
  • Previous experience with Property Management industry and / or as a building superintendent is an asset.
