Who We're Looking For

Are you up for anything? Whether it’s ziplining at dawn, covering a city-wide celebration, or braving the elements for a breaking story, Breakfast Television is looking for a fearless Live Eye Correspondent who thrives on adventure, spontaneity, and engaging storytelling. This role is for someone who loves being out in the field, capturing the pulse of the city, and delivering entertaining and informative segments in real time.

What You'll Do

1. Live On-Air Reporting – Cover a variety of live events, festivals, community happenings, and breaking news in an engaging, conversational manner.
2. Feature Storytelling – Pitch and deliver compelling human-interest stories that reflect the city’s culture, lifestyle, and trending topics.
3. Community Engagement – Interact with people on location, incorporating their voices and experiences into live hits.
4. Content Creation & Pitching – Work closely with producers to develop creative and interactive segments that align with Breakfast Television’s brand and audience.
5. Social Media Integration – Utilize social platforms to tease upcoming live reports, engage viewers, and extend storytelling beyond the broadcast.
6. Adaptability & Quick Thinking – Handle unexpected live situations with professionalism, humor, and poise. Work closely with camera operators and producers to ensure smooth live execution.

What You'll Bring

1. Previous on-camera Host/Contributor experience in live television.
2. Strong ability to think on your feet and ad-lib in fast-paced situations.
3. A magnetic personality with a natural ability to connect with people.
4. Excellent storytelling and communication skills.
5. A deep understanding of local culture, trends, and issues relevant to the BT audience.
6. Willingness to work early morning hours and be out in all weather conditions.
7. Experience in social media content creation is an asset.
8. Valid driver’s license preferred.
