Job summary

Maple Leaf Sports & Entertainment Partnership is seeking a Live Events Intern in Toronto to gain hands-on experience planning and executing events at Scotiabank Arena. You will collaborate with the Live Events team, coordinate with internal clients and departments, and help ensure smooth delivery of programs.

The role emphasizes strong communication, organization, and attention to detail, with opportunities to develop event-management and administrative skills while working a hybrid schedule.

Qualifications

• Currently enrolled in a post-secondary program related to sport, PR, events, or communications.
• Excellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently with high accuracy and attention to detail.
• Outgoing, diplomatic, and self-motivated with a positive attitude.
• Proficient with Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
• Experience in planning and executing events is an asset.
• Available to work weekends, evenings, and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Support execution of events with Live Events team and lead event-day personnel.
• Serve as main contact for internal clients after an event is booked.
• Prepare and distribute event details to departments; ensure clear communication.
• Generate event cost estimates after consulting with clients and MLSE departments.
• Conduct event briefings for staff and participate in inter-department meetings.
• Assist with administrative functions: scheduling, calendar updates, venue updates.
• Assist Event Managers and Programming team as needed.
