Position Summary

The Live Content Creator role with the Canadian Football League (CFL) offers an exciting opportunity to capture and create dynamic content for one of Canada's most popular sports leagues. Here’s a breakdown of what the role entails:

As a Live Content Creator, you will be responsible for capturing organic video and photo content during CFL games. Your role will primarily involve working on-site at games, engaging in creative storytelling, and using visual media to highlight the excitement and spectacle of the CFL.

This position allows you to engage in creative freedom and produce content that showcases the excitement of live sports in an innovative and visually appealing way. As a content creator for the CFL, you'll be on the cutting edge of sports media and have the opportunity to grow professionally while contributing to the league's digital presence.

Responsibilities

1. Game Coverage: Attend nine home games within your designated market to capture content before, during, and after the game, ensuring to cover both home and away teams. Content will be sent to game night administrators for storytelling and publication.
2. Content Creation: Generate dynamic video and photo content aligned with the CFL’s social media storytelling vision, covering pregame, in-game, and post-game moments, capturing the overall CFL experience.
3. Collaboration: Work closely with the Social Media team based in Toronto, aligning content with ongoing storylines and marketing or partnership requests.
4. Creative Direction: Push the boundaries of sports content creation, generating innovative ideas and capturing unique moments to bring the CFL’s energy to life.

Qualifications & Skills

1. At least 1 year of experience in capturing live sports content, preferably football or similar sports.
2. Knowledge of tailoring content for various social media platforms for maximum engagement.
3. Strong visual storytelling skills through video and photos.
4. Understanding of football, specifically CFL, to capture the game’s energy effectively.
5. Interviewing skills are a plus but not required.
6. Genuine passion for sports and eagerness to grow CFL’s digital presence.

Other Considerations

1. Availability during nights and weekends during the CFL season, including potential playoff games.
2. Travel to stadiums in your market is required.
