Our client is one of the most diverse law firms in the interior of BC. Their team of successful lawyers provide a full range of legal services in a variety of legal areas.

They have an exciting opportunity for a legal administrative assistant in our Litigation department.

Duties of this role include but are not limited to:

Drafting correspondence and legal documents

Scheduling examinations, applications, court dates, mediations, and trials

Preparing bills and invoices

Managing bring-forward system and ensuring deadlines are met

Collaborating with colleagues and clients on file progress

Communicating with clients

Reviewing and organizing medical briefs

Managing files through all stages of the legal process

Maintaining client files

Managing lawyers' calendars

Scheduling meetings and appointments

Making travel arrangements and reservations

Requirements

Other administrative tasks as required

A minimum of 2-4 years of progressive experience working in litigation

Completion of a Legal Assistant program, or a combination of equivalent education and experience

Thorough knowledge of BC court rules and procedures

Superb communication skills with proven ability to interact tactfully and be personable

High level of attention to detail and accuracy

Organized, and able to manage and anticipate competing priorities

Have excellent time management and organizational skills and the ability to work independently
