Duties and Responsibilities

  • Conduct legal research, assess cases, identify issues, and develop strategies
  • Draft legal documents for court proceedings
  • Represent clients in hearings, trials, and mediations
  • Conduct discovery, execution, and cross-examinations
  • Negotiate settlements and engage in dispute resolution
  • Offer legal advice, address concerns, and protect client interests
  • Stay updated on changes in legislation and case law
  • Uphold ethics and confidentiality

Qualifications

  • 3+ years of experience practicing as a Litigation Lawyer in Canada
  • Must be a member of the Ontario Bar in good standing with the Law Society of Ontario
  • High degree of professional ethics and integrity
  • Ability to be both a self-starter and team player
  • Engaged in business development
  • Excellent technical skills
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Excellent analytical and organizational skills
  • Must be a member of the Ontario Bar in good standing with the Law Society of Ontario
