We are currently seeking a Litigation Law Clerk to join our Downtown Toronto office. This is an excellent opportunity for a recent graduate or junior law clerk looking to build a career in litigation, with exposure to matters in areas such as labour and employment law. The ideal candidate will have recently completed a Law Clerk program and demonstrate strong organizational and communication skills.

What you will be doing:

  • Collaborate in the preparation and compilation of litigation documents, including affidavits, notices, motion records, factums, and books of authorities
  • Manage communication with process servers for the service and filing of court materials
  • Coordinate with court offices to arrange trial and motion bookings and manage related filings
  • Draft and edit a variety of legal and administrative documents, including memos, letters, emails, and court forms
  • Proofread work products to ensure accuracy, completeness, and proper formatting, with attention to spelling and grammar
  • Act as a liaison between lawyers and internal/external parties to support effective file progression
  • Maintain organized and up-to-date electronic and physical filing systems

Qualifications:

  • Completion of a Law Clerk program or equivalent post-secondary education
  • Familiarity with the Rules of Civil Procedure and court practices is an asset
  • Strong organizational skills with attention to detail
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and adapt to changing priorities
  • Comfortable working both independently and collaboratively
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Outlook, Excel)
