Job summary

Aplin in downtown Vancouver is seeking a junior litigation associate to join its busy practice. You will gain valuable courtroom and litigation experience across a diverse range of disputes while benefiting from mentorship and resources to establish your own practice as you grow.

Ideal candidates are BC Bar admitted and in good standing with 1–3 years of post-call general litigation experience, excellent drafting and interpersonal communication skills, and a willingness to learn and engage with

Qualifications

• Called to the BC Bar and in good standing.
• 1–3 years of post-call experience with a focus on general litigation.
• Excellent drafting and interpersonal communication skills.
• Willing and eager to learn and engage with the work.

Responsibilities

• Independently handle smaller files from open to close while assisting senior lawyers on a diverse range of complex disputes, ranging from commercial disputes, insurance liability issues, real estate disputes, personal injury matters, estate litigation, and more
• Appear in court and contribute to hearings and other litigation processes (meaningful courtroom / trial exposure is expected)
