Full-time Temporary (32.5 hours per week) Educational Assistant

Immediately – June 26, 2025

The Intervention Educational Assistant will be working with kindergarten children supporting continued literacy & numeracy development. The Intervention Educational Assistant will work under the supervision of a certified teacher who retains the responsibility for planning, instruction, supervision, and evaluation of the students.


Qualifications And Skills
  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Educational Assistant Diploma with CPR/First Aid preferred
  • Experience in literacy and numeracy support preferred
  • Strong oral and written communication skills
  • Basic knowledge and understanding of MS Office (Word and Excel)
  • Ability to follow programming focused on numeracy and literacy and adapt as needed

Responsibilities
  • Data/record keeping
  • Deliver literacy programming
  • Work collaboratively with school-based learning support teacher, classroom teachers, program lead teachers, and school leaders
  • Prepare, gather and maintain student activities/resources
