Calgary Co-op in Alberta is seeking a Liquor Store Supervisor to oversee daily liquor store operations, supervise clerks, and ensure excellent customer service while maintaining inventory, pricing integrity and safety standards. The role involves cash handling, opening/closing duties, and staff coordination in a cooperative retail setting.

Qualifikationen

• Must be 18 years of age.
• Grade 12 education or acceptable combination of education and experience.
• Previous liquor experience with strong product knowledge or equivalent supervisory experience.
• Basic receiving, ordering and merchandising skills.
• Basic Word, Excel and Outlook.
• Related post-secondary education.
• Experience supervising others, planning, ordering, and organizing events, projects and programs.
• Six (6) months of liquor retail experience with strong product knowledge and knowledge of provincial liquor regulations or equivalent retail experience.
• Kronos knowledge.
• Basic category analyzer knowledge.
• Passion and knowledge of wines, wine regions, and wine production.

Aufgaben

• Provides customer service and maintains positive customer relations.
• Plans and performs all aspects of Liquor functions including but not limited to stocking and facing in an efficient and organized manner.
• Handles merchandise ensuring quality, minimizing damages and markdowns, provides substitutions and ensures price integrity including price changes.
• Performs general clean up duties such as cleaning spills and display fixtures to ensure a neat and organized store is maintained.
• Promotes health and safety compliance and security in the workplace.
• Responsible for ordering merchandise and supplies and for receiving invoices and transfers.
• Oversees inventory and opening/closing duties, cash handling, and sales reporting.
