North Central Co-op provides goods and services to communities in Stony Plain, Edmonton, Fort Saskatchewan, Spruce Grove, St. Albert, Legal, Sherwood Park, and Edson. We are proud of our 100,000+ member-owners and 650+ team members across 20+ Gas Bars, a Home Centre, 4 Cardlock/Bulk Fuel Stations, 6 Food Stores, 6 Liquor Stores, and an Administration Office, with plans for future growth.

We invite applications for the position of Supervisor to join our Liquor Division team at our Riverside Liquor location in St. Albert, AB. The successful candidate must be available to work shifts between 10:00 a.m. and 10:00 p.m., including weekends. Open availability is required.

What You'll Do

  • Lead a team positively and engagingly, ensuring a superior customer experience. Manage team member schedules for accurate payroll and sufficient coverage.
  • Maintain positive vendor relationships and ensure excellent service for members and customers. Assist with weekly restocking and new product listings.
  • Support pricing, inventory management, marketing programs, and compliance with regulations. Maintain merchandising standards, store cleanliness, promotions, inspections, and a professional community image.
  • Ensure adherence to HR, operational, AGLC, safety, and occupational health policies. Assist with timely and accurate reporting, asset management, and equipment maintenance for safe and efficient operations.

Who You Are

You are seeking a career in liquor retail operations and:

  • Possess excellent interpersonal and communication skills with attention to detail.
  • Value building relationships and collaboration, appreciating diverse perspectives.
  • Are 18 years or older.
  • Hold a high school diploma (preferred).
  • Have at least 1 year of liquor retail experience.
  • Possess supervisory experience (an asset).
  • Have basic skills in Microsoft Office (Word/Excel).
  • Have merchandising knowledge.
  • WSET training is an asset.
  • ProServ Liquor Staff Training is preferred.
  • Can lift and carry up to 50 lbs.
