Job description

We are looking for a friendly and reliable Liquor Store Sales Clerk to join our team. In this role, you will assist customers with their purchases, provide product recommendations, and maintain the store's organization and cleanliness. If you enjoy helping customers and have an interest in the liquor industry, we'd love to have you on board!

Key Responsibilities :

1. Greet customers and discuss the type, quality, and quantity of merchandise or services sought for purchase
2. Check ID for legal age
3. Upsell additional items through recommendations when appropriate
4. Prepare merchandise for purchase
5. Process sales and accept payments via cash, credit card, or debit
6. Assist in display of merchandise
7. Maintain sales records for inventory control
8. Operate computerized inventory management and re-ordering systems
9. Restock items as required
10. Monitor for theft and report as necessary
11. Perform other duties as assigned

Job Requirements :

1. Punctuality
2. Ability to handle confrontation appropriately
3. Comfortable dealing with intoxicated customers
4. Ability to handle cash transactions
5. Ability to lift up to 30 pounds
