Otter Co-op is now hiring for a Part-Time Liquor Store Associate at our Angry Otter Liquor @ West Railway located in Abbotsford, BC.

We operate three food and pharmacy stores, thirty-one Angry Otter liquor stores, two feed mills, two bulk petroleum facilities, and several hospitality venues including the Angry Otter Tap & Forno, Brewery in North Vancouver, the Highwayman Pub in Abbotsford, and others. What you’ll do:

  1. Provide excellent customer service in a courteous and efficient manner.
  2. Process transactions, refunds, returns, and activate gift cards.
  3. Ensure register drawer is balanced at the end of each shift following company procedures.
  4. Stock, face, and rotate products on shelves.
  5. Receive, check, and store deliveries.
  6. Keep store and storage areas clean and organized.
  7. Use product knowledge to promote sales.
  8. Contribute to the team by embodying the company's values of Integrity, Community, and Excellence.
  9. Perform other duties as assigned.

Who you are:

You are seeking a career in retail store operations and meet the following criteria:

  • Liquor retail experience is preferred.
  • Serving it Right license is required.
  • Enjoy working in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
  • Strong communication skills and a team player.
  • Problem solver and quick learner.
  • WSET 1 accreditation is required within the first year of employment.
  • Ability to lift, push, pull up to 50 lbs., and stand for full 8-hour shifts.
  • Committed to a safe working environment.
  • MUST be over 19 years of age.
  • Must have open availability and be able to work various shifts including mornings, afternoons, and late evenings.
  • This position is based at the West Railway Liquor Store, with occasional travel to other locations as needed.
