Otter Co-op is now accepting applications for a Part-Time Liquor Store Associate at our Angry Otter Liquor @ Orchard Plaza located in Kamloops, BC.

We operate three food and pharmacy stores (including one with a fashion and hardware department), thirty-one Angry Otter liquor stores, two feed mills, two bulk petroleum facilities, the Angry Otter Tap & Forno and Brewery in North Vancouver, the Highwayman Pub in Abbotsford, the Highwayman pub in South Surrey, and twenty-five gas station/convenience stores. What you’ll do:

Reporting to the Liquor Store Manager, responsibilities include:

  • Providing excellent customer service in a courteous, efficient manner
  • Processing register transactions, refunds, returns, and activating gift cards
  • Balancing the register drawer at the end of each shift following company procedures
  • Stocking, facing, and rotating products on shelves
  • Receiving, checking, and storing deliveries
  • Keeping the store and storage areas clean and organized
  • Using product knowledge to promote sales
  • Contributing to the team by embodying the company's core values of Integrity, Community, and Excellence
  • Performing other duties as assigned

Who you are:

You are seeking a career in retail store operations and meet the following criteria:

  • Liquor retail experience is preferred
  • Serving It Right license is required
  • Enjoy working in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
  • Team player with strong communication skills
  • Problem solver and quick learner
  • WSET Level 1 accreditation, to be obtained within the first year of employment
  • Ability to lift, push, pull up to 50 lbs., and stand for full 8-hour shifts
  • Committed to a safe working environment
  • MUST be over 19 years of age
  • MUST have open availability, including mornings, afternoons, and late evenings
  • This position is based at AOL @ Orchard Plaza but may require travel to other locations as needed
