Job description

Otter Co-op is now hiring for Part-Time Liquor Store Associates at our Angry Otter Liquor @ Lickman located in Chilliwack, BC.

We operate three food and pharmacy stores, thirty-one Angry Otter liquor stores, two feed mills, two bulk petroleum facilities, and several other retail outlets. What you’ll do:

  • Provide excellent customer service in a courteous, efficient manner
  • Process transactions, refunds, returns, and activate gift cards
  • Ensure register drawer is balanced at the end of each shift
  • Stock, face, and rotate products on shelves
  • Receive, check, and store deliveries
  • Keep store and storage areas clean and organized
  • Use product knowledge to promote sales
  • Contribute to the team by embodying our values of Integrity, Community, and Excellence
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Who you are:

You are seeking a career in retail store operations and have:

  • Liquor retail experience (preferred)
  • A Serving It Right license
  • Enjoyment of working in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong communication skills and teamwork orientation
  • Problem-solving skills and quick learning ability
  • WSET Level 1 accreditation (to be obtained within the first year)
  • The ability to lift, push, pull up to 50 lbs., and stand for a full 8-hour shift
  • A commitment to a safe working environment
  • MUST be over 19 years of age
  • Open availability to work various shifts including mornings, afternoons, and evenings
  • This position is based at the Lickman Liquor Store but may require travel to other locations as needed
