Job summary

Central Alberta Co-op in Red Deer is seeking a Liquor Clerk for a part-time role (24-36 hours per week). You greet customers, provide product expertise, process transactions, and help with stock. Availability includes weekdays and weekends across mornings, afternoons, and evenings.

Must be at least 18, hold valid ProServe certification, and have strong customer service. Retail experience is an asset. You will lift up to 50 lbs and maintain a clean, safe store environment; company offers benefit

Position: Liquor Clerk

Part-time: 24-36hours per week.Benefiteligibleafter3months. If you are coming from out of province, please remember you need to have AB Health coverage to be covered by our plan provider.

Availability: Weekdays and weekends- mornings, afternoons, and evenings.

Responsibilities

• Ensure all customers are greeted in a friendly manner
• Offer product expertise and guidance
• Process sales transactions accurately
• Receive, unpack, and display merchandise
• Perform opening and closing duties with thorough attention to detail
• Ensure compliance with Central Alberta Co-op and AGLC’s policies
• Maintain a clean and safe work environment
• Perform additional duties as assigned by the manager

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years of age to sell liquor
• Must have valid ProServe certification
• Outstanding customer service and communication skills
• Previous retail experience is an asset
• Team player with the ability to work independently
• Ability to consecutively lift 50 lbs. required for unloading pallets
