Job Description
Live Assets | IT Staffing Solutions is hiring a Linux Engineer for one of its Fintech Clients.

Key Responsibilities

1. Manage the full lifecycle of Linux and Storage systems.
2. Enhance processes, technologies, and stability of the Linux estate through technical guidance.
3. Audit and implement remediation actions to ensure compliance with IT Governance policies.
4. Perform routine system maintenance, investigate root causes of issues, and apply remediation.
5. Utilize Jira and ServiceNow to coordinate activities and develop dashboards and reports to measure success.
6. Create concise, reusable code and understand the philosophy of Infrastructure as Code (IaC).

Necessary Skills

• Experience with Linux OS, including installation, configuration, troubleshooting; familiarity with enterprise Linux distributions such as Red Hat Enterprise Linux, CentOS, or Oracle Linux; and containerization tools like OpenShift and Rancher.
• Knowledge of Linux Kernel, FPGA, RedHat Satellite, and managing F5 load balancers.
• Experience with Jira/ServiceNow and system monitoring tools.
• Understanding of SAN and NAS storage concepts.
• Familiarity with networking technologies such as TCP/IP, SNMP, LDAP, Satellite, DHCP, PXE, and web servers like Apache or NGINX.
• Knowledge of Dell and HPE server infrastructure.
• Experience with scripting and automation tools such as Python, Ansible, Perl, Java.
• Strong troubleshooting skills and ability to resolve technical issues efficiently.
• Understanding of security best practices and maintaining system security.
• Ability to maintain accurate and up-to-date system documentation.
• Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or equivalent experience.
• Industry certifications such as RHCSA or similar are a plus.
