The Linen Transporter is responsible for storing and distributing linen for hospital facilities. The transporter conducts themselves in a courteous and professional manner at all times and complies with all HCSC and hospital policies. The anticipated salary starts at $16.00 per hour. What you will be doing:

  • Clean linen distribution: Pack clean linen orders into carts for distribution. Distribute filled linen carts to appropriate areas within the facility and completely par stock the assigned patient care units/ancillary areas as required.
  • Soiled linen pickup: Retrieve soiled linen carts from facility areas to soil room/return empty soil carts to areas.
  • Record Keeping: Record information accurately on all paperwork and input data into tracking program.
  • Linen room maintenance: Store clean linen on shelves, after verifying numbers and types of items; keeps linen room in clean and orderly condition.

What you will bring to the role:

  • A minimum of a high school diploma or GED.
  • Excellent ability to understand and use software relevant to the position.

Additional information:

  • Hours are Monday - Friday 5:00am - 1:30pm, rotation for every other weekend and some holidays.
  • Work is within a healthcare facility and some flexibility for scheduling is needed to provide services to the hospital.
