Job summary

The Salvation Army Meighen Health Centre in Saskatchewan, Canada is hiring a Laundry Aide to manage the home's linen supply and residents' clothing following health and safety guidelines. You will ensure dignity, accurate labeling, and timely delivery of laundry to units.

Responsibilities include washing, drying, and sorting linen, maintaining equipment, and participating in safety and quality programs while providing excellent resident service and teamwork within the facility.

Qualifications

• Minimum grade 10 education.
• Previous housekeeping experience is preferred.
• Ability to read, write English and follow written instructions.
• Ability to effectively communicate with residents and staff.
• Good understanding of chemical and equipment use.
• Ability to work independently or as a team.
• Strong customer service skills.

Responsibilities

• Washes and cares for linen and residents' personal clothing.
• Follows health, safety, infection control, and quality guidelines.
• Maintains laundry facilities and reports equipment malfunctions.
• Delivers and picks up laundry from units and labels clothing.
• Participates in safety and quality improvement programs.
