Description

Location: Regina Depot, 120 Hodsman Road, Regina, SK

Working Hours: 40 weekly hours (guaranteed)

Scheduled Shift: Varies depending on need; open availability required

Employment Contract: Permanent

Hourly Wage: Starting at $36.08 (as per collective agreement)

The Linehaul Driver Pickup & Delivery drives to/from customer locations and safely operates company vehicles (e.g., tractor-trailers, 5-ton vehicles, shunt trucks, etc.) and material handling equipment (e.g., pallet jacks, forklifts, etc.) to pick up and deliver freight to/from customer locations and meet service level agreements. Job requires working in shifts.

Responsibilities
  • Drive to/from customer locations and operate company vehicles and equipment to pick up and deliver freight, meeting service agreements.
  • Resolve problems on the road in collaboration with Dispatch.
  • Pick up, deliver, load, and unload freight at customer locations.
  • Scan freight upon pickup and delivery.
  • Conduct vehicle inspections (pre-trip and post-trip for tractors and trailers).
Requirements
  • Valid Class 1 Driver's License.
  • Clean driving abstract (please upload a current abstract with your resume).
  • Successful completion of written & road tests.
  • Defensive Driving course certification.
  • Courier Methods training course.
  • Ability to read maps and good geographical sense.
  • Ability to handle LTL freight and skids.
  • Ability to lift/carry up to 70 lbs.
  • Criminal record check and employment verification.
  • Police Clearance Certificate when required.
Experience & Skills
  • Minimum 3 years of Class 1 driving experience with a clean record.
  • Skills in GPS tracking and navigation.
  • Experience with inventory control, heavy lifting, and various vehicle types.
