Job summary

Boston Pizza International, Inc. (Calgary) is seeking a Line Supervisor to lead the kitchen team during daily operations, ensuring food is prepared to Boston Pizza standards while maintaining a clean, safe, and efficient kitchen.

You’ll support the Kitchen Manager and provide hands-on leadership to the line team. As a Line Supervisor, you’ll help lead the kitchen during busy periods, coach team members, and ensure quality, speed, and consistency.

Qualifications

• Previous kitchen, line cook, or supervisory experience is an asset.
• Strong leadership, communication, and teamwork skills.
• Ability to stay calm, organized, and focused during busy rush periods.
• Reliable, dependable, and able to take initiative.
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced restaurant environment.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and support kitchen staff during assigned shifts.
• Coordinate the line to ensure timely and accurate food preparation.
• Maintain Boston Pizza standards for food quality, portioning, presentation, and consistency.
• Monitor kitchen cleanliness, sanitation, and food safety procedures.
• Help organize prep, station setup, and closing duties.
• Provide direction and coaching to team members throughout the shift.
• Support training and onboarding of new kitchen employees.
• Help manage kitchen flow during busy periods and resolve issues quickly.
• Communicate effectively with front-of-house and management teams.
• Monitor inventory and communicate product shortages or operational concerns.
• Ensure proper completion of opening, shift-change, and closing procedures.
• Lead by example and maintain a positive, respectful team environment.
• Assist management with achieving operational, service, and labour goals.

You’ll support the Kitchen Manager and management team while providing direction, coaching, and hands-on leadership to the line team.

What We’re Looking For

• Previous kitchen, line cook, or supervisory experience is an asset

Compensation

• Starting wage: $17.00/hour
• Additional tips: approximately $2.50 - $3.00/hour
• Estimated total earnings: approximately $19.50 - $20.00/hour, depending on hours and tip distribution

Pay Range: $19.00 - $20.00 CAD Hourly
