Beryl’s Pepper Pot is a fast casual Caribbean food experience offering fun and flavourful Jamaican cuisine. From fire-grilled jerk chicken seasoned with signature spices to traditional Jamaican food and authentic twists to classic dishes, Beryl’s Pepper Pot offers one of the most dynamic ethnic food menus in the Caribbean food genre.

The purpose of this position is to interact with our take out guests and ensure they have a great experience when ordering food at Beryl’s Pepper Pot. Line Servers & Takeout Cashiers are responsible for positive guest interactions while serving guests in a friendly and efficient manner. At all times, Line Servers & Takeout Cashiers are expected to be attentive to our guest needs and make them feel welcome, comfortable, important, and relaxed.

Essential Job Functions
  • Pack menu items such as meals, hot entrees, specials, and desserts for serving or for takeout.
  • Perform cleaning duties such as sweeping, mopping, and washing dishes to keep equipment and facilities sanitary.
  • Scrub and polish counters, steam tables, and other equipment, and clean glasses, dishes, and fountain equipment.
  • Prepare bills for food using cash registers, calculators, or adding machines, and accept payment or make change.
  • Replenish foods at serving stations.
  • Balance receipts and payments in cash registers.
  • Take customers’ orders and write ordered items on tickets, giving ticket stubs to customers when needed to identify filled orders.
  • Arrange reservations for patrons of dining establishments.
