Job summary

WildBrain Studios is seeking a Line Producer (Episodic) to oversee all production planning from Pre-Production through Post-Production and final delivery. Reporting to the Head of Production, you will lead the production process to achieve the Director's vision within budget and schedule.

This role emphasizes strong communication, resource management, and collaboration with cross-functional teams. Hybrid work in Vancouver with competitive benefits.

Qualifications

  • 5+ years of experience in Production Management for animated productions.
  • Experience managing production budgets over $5M.
  • Experience leading projects with crew sizes up to 30+ people.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills balancing creative and financial needs.
  • Thorough knowledge of animation production pipeline.

Responsibilities

  • Support client/partner and studio's creative vision by managing show budget and resources.
  • Responsible for the day-to-day client relationship.
  • Action on the series production plan - including schedules, budgets and all deliverables.
  • Collaborate with Director of Production to adjust production plan for delivery of the creative vision.
  • Manage cost reports, run cost scenarios, flag variances to the Director of Production.
  • Evaluate episode scope to assess cost of production.
  • Identify and implement production resources to support the project.
  • Conduct meetings with team leads to assess day-to-day requirements and progress.
  • Flag potential problems and design solutions to meet milestones and deadlines.
  • Define and maintain a dailies process ensuring clear communication and visual standards.
  • Foster regular feedback and check-ins with direct reports and teams.
  • Collaborate with Head of Production on employee relations issues.
  • Establish team culture aligned with company policies and positive work environment.
  • Oversee staffing including hiring, onboarding, and training initiatives.
  • Review expenses, timecards, vacation and overtime requests.
  • Meet weekly with Production Accountant to review financial health.

Line Producer (Episodic)

WildBrain Studios is looking for a Line Producer (Episodic) to join our team! In this role, you will oversee all aspects of production planning. You will own production oversight across all phases from Pre-Production through Post-Production and final delivery. Reporting to the Head of Production, you will lead the production process to achieve the vision of the Director within the parameters of the budget and schedule. This role is responsible for supporting the communication and cultural philosophies for the show to facilitate a productive environment and is accountable for the on-time and on-budget delivery of the CG episodic series.

Responsibilities
  • Support client/partner and studio's creative vision by managing show budget and resources
  • Responsible for the day-to-day client relationship
  • Action on the series production plan - including schedules, budgets and all deliverables
  • In collaboration with the Director of Production, continually assess and adjust production plan to facilitate delivery on the creative vision of the series
  • Manage cost reports, running cost scenarios as needed and flag material variances to the Director of Production
  • Evaluate episode scope to assess and assign cost of creative production
  • Identify and implement the production resources necessary to support the project
  • Conduct meetings with team leads to assess day-to-day project requirements and ensure continued progress
  • Flag potential problems and proactively design and seek solutions to ensure project milestones and deadlines are met
  • Define and maintain a dailies process that supports clear communication, maintains visual standards and quota expectations
  • Foster a culture of regular feedback and check-ins with direct reports, ensuring they are doing the same
  • Collaborate with Head of Production and Talent on any employee relations issues
  • Establish team culture and values that are aligned with WildBrain’s policies and principles, monitor morale, and recommend initiatives supporting a positive work environment
  • Oversee all staffing, including hiring, onboarding, and training initiatives. Review job responsibilities and partner with appropriate stakeholders on any revisions
  • Validate and approve departmental expenses, timecards, vacation and overtime requests
  • Meet weekly with Production Accountant to review the financial health of the project
Qualifications
  • 5+ years of experience in Production Management for animated productions
  • Experience managing production budgets over $5M
  • Experience leading projects with crew sizes up to 30+ people
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills and the diplomacy to balance creative expectations with the financial resources available
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Driven, innovative, strategic and solution-focused
  • Strong leadership skills, and the ability to work well with a diverse creative team
  • Thorough knowledge of the animation and the production pipeline
  • Diploma in a related field or equivalent experience
Pay Range and Benefits

Pay Range: $2000 – $2450 per week. Candidates are paid within the range posted, but their exact pay will vary based on the level, responsibilities and expectations of the role. We also take into consideration the experience and skills that an individual brings, with consideration of our internal equity.
