Responsibilities:
  • Comply with established safety practices, policies, and procedures as specified in plant and corporate directives.
  • Operate, adjust, and repair production equipment to meet specifications.
  • Disassemble, overhaul, and rebuild equipment.
  • Perform troubleshooting and preventative maintenance.
  • Train and develop assigned personnel.
  • Inspect in-process materials and finished products.
  • Replenish supplies, materials, parts, and tooling.
  • Relieve operators and adjusters for breaks.
  • Maintain records as directed by management.
  • Communicate pertinent information to the next shift.
  • Maintain required tools and perform cleanup duties.
  • Rotate through all workstations as needed.
  • Review SOPs and control plans regularly.
  • May troubleshoot equipment at customer sites.
  • Follow all SOPs for the area.
  • Establish and maintain effective work relationships, handle stress, and foster a positive work environment.
Position Requirements & Competencies:
  • High School Diploma or equivalent required.
  • Related education in industrial mechanics is an asset.
  • Minimum 2 years of relevant experience.
  • Willingness to work assigned schedules, including 12-hour shifts (4 on/4 off), rotating days and nights, and overtime as needed.
  • Ability to evaluate, select, and adapt manufacturing techniques.
  • Ability to identify product defects and use hand and power tools.
  • Interest and aptitude for mechanics.
  • Proficiency with computers.
  • Operate forklifts or aerolifts if required.
  • Use precision measuring instruments.
  • Meet deadlines, pay attention to detail, and perform basic math.
  • Organize, plan, and prioritize tasks.
  • Knowledge of equipment nomenclature and quality standards.
  • Understand operating principles of equipment.
  • Comply with environmental and hazardous waste management requirements.
  • Be aware of occupational hazards and work in confined areas as needed.
