Job summary

McCormick Canada is hiring a Line Maintainer to join the Operations team at 600 Clarke Road, London, Ontario. The role is on the Afternoon B Shift (Mon-Fri, 2:40pm-11:00pm) and involves production tasks, line changeover, servicing lines and troubleshooting equipment.

You will document test runs, lead team meetings, and train new employees while participating in Journey to Excellence and Total Preventative Maintenance initiatives and upholding safety policies.

Qualifications

• OSSD diploma or equivalent with basic qualification testing.
• Ability to perform physical work including lifting up to 50 lbs.
• Willingness to work overtime in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong attention to detail, organization and communication skills.
• Capability to complete McCormick forklift certification training.
• Experience with food packaging lines or similar is an asset.
• SAP knowledge is an asset; displaced employees receive consideration.

Responsibilities

Position Overview

Working in our manufacturing environment, you will:

• Perform production-related tasks, including line changeover, supplying and servicing production lines, and trouble-shooting equipment issues
• Perform and document test runs, product trials, and data collection
• Hold team meetings, provide direction to line members, and train new employees
• Participate in our Journey to Excellence and Total Preventative Maintenance initiatives
• Communicate and escape issues to Managers and other departments when needed
• Work safely and follow all in-place policies and procedures

Qualifications

• OSSD diploma or equivalent and successful passing of basic qualification testing
• Ability to safely perform physical work, including, pushing, pulling, and lifting up to 50lbs repetitively
• Ability to work overtime, with minimal supervision and in a fast-paced environment
• Possess strong attention to detail, organization, trouble shooting, prioritizing, and written and verbal communication skills
• Capability to complete training for McCormick certification for forklift
• Food packaging, filling lines or equivalent experience would be considered an asset
• SAP knowledge would be considered an asset

In the spirit of pay transparency, we are excited to share the base salary range for this position is $24.22 + $1.00 shift differential

Base salary compensation will be determined based on factors such as geographic location, skills, education, experience for this role, and/or internal equity of our current employees as part of any final offer. This position is also eligible to participate in McCormick's Dividend Plan.
