Job summary

Geoterra is seeking a field-based assistant to support line locating, timber cruising, and block layout across remote sites in British Columbia. The role is primarily fieldwork with travel, sometimes staying out-of-town, and offers a competitive hourly wage.

You will assist with riparian and ecosystem assessments, data collection, and supervisor-driven tasks. An OFA Level 1, valid BC license, and ability to work in adverse weather are required.

Qualifications

• OFA Level 1 required.
• Positive attitude, highly organized, eagerness to learn, and a team player.
• Basic outdoor skills and general fitness.
• Willingness to work in remote locations in adverse weather conditions.
• Willingness to work 8-12 hours/day (including over-time pay).
• Willingness to work extended shifts and stay out-of-town for work, generally Monday-Friday from home.

• Geoterra pays for all travel and accommodations, including per-diem while away from home.
• $20.00 - $25.00 per hour depending on experience.
