As a Packaging Line Lead Operator, you will be responsible for operating machines in a packaging or powder line. They are responsible for ensuring that the particular line is performing to production targets in critical areas (safety, quality, productivity, BOP, RedZone) and according to SOP, GMP and FDA regulatory compliance requirements.

How will you contribute:

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Reasonable accommodation may be made to enable qualified individuals with disabilities to perform essential job functions. Essential job functions and duties include, but are not limited to:

  • Proficient on all machines in a particular packaging line while meeting targeted production numbers with no Quality or Safety infractions.
  • Woking close with Tech Ops and R&D for new Product/ Pilot runs.
  • Advanced level troubleshooting skills on particular key equipment and ancillary support equipment.
  • Understand the specifications indicated on the packaging batch record for each product packaged.
  • Prepare all necessary supplies and equipment to perform the job. Verification of all jobs on the line running to Batch Record or special instructions.
  • Setup, Run and make any necessary adjustments to the machines assigned to properly meet the packaging requirements of the product specifications in the batch record.
  • Ensure Quality requirements of product specifications are met including incoming. Materials, running work-in-process, and finished product. Monitor product quality.
  • Fill out appropriate paperwork at the beginning, end of each lot, and shift.
  • RedZone application: Reviewing and understanding the application: Adding Downtimes, information of issues on the run including pictures, completing any process sheets/checks that are allocated for the machine. Following up on Run rates and T-Max.
  • Report process and equipment problems to Supervisor or Floor Lead.
  • Ensure batch records, equipment logs, and other relevant records are current and are being completed on a daily basis correctly.
  • Cleans and maintains processing rooms and equipment.
  • Will training employees on equipment, documentation, quality checks and safety responsibilities.
  • Assist maintenance in Preventative Maintenance duties when required.
  • Follows established department SOP's, cGMP regulations, and batch record instructions.
  • Complies with all Company policies and procedures, including safety rules and regulations.
  • Maintains a safe work environment and operates in a safe manner.
  • Perform other job duties related to the job, as assigned by management.
  • Will follow escalation process for downtimes and communication.
  • Communicate with prior/next shift team to ensure flow of information / work is uninterrupted.
  • Supports and leads Continuous Improvement initiatives including best practices on the line.
  • Proactive to issues on the line including workload. Team player and team motivation.
Qualifications

Minimum Requirements/Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent GED Certificate; and
  • Two (2) or more years of work experience in a fast-paced manufacturing environment; plus
  • Any combination of experience, education, and training that provides the level of knowledge, skills, and experience needed to successfully perform the job.

Work Environment:

  • May involve exposure to allergens such as Soy, Wheat, Fish, Shellfish, Milk, Egg, Tree Nuts and Sesame.

Base Salary Range: $19.50 - $24.00 per hour, based on candidate professional experience level. Employees are eligible to participate in Medical, Dental, Vision, Life Insurance, 401(k), Holidays, Vacation, Tuition Reimbursement Program.

The final salary offered for this position may take into account a number of factors including, but not limited to, location, skills, education, and experience.
