We are hiring Line Drivers/Forklift Operators!

Hourly Pay starting at $24.00/hr.

Shift: 8-hour rotating shifts

At the Johns Manville Cornwall facility, we manufacture insulation for roofs. Our process is neat, and what is even cooler is how we do it:

Your Day-to-Day Responsibilities
  1. Assume responsibility for a safe working environment by accepting and respecting plant safety rules, monitoring equipment for unsafe conditions, communicating safety concerns promptly, and participating in safety huddles.
  2. Handle cutting of rejected material into spacers, ensuring proper labeling, fit, and discard of nonconforming material, and communicating equipment issues.
  3. Ensure spacer bundle quality by proper separation, orientation, sizing, stacking, and replenishment according to Kanban levels.
  4. Manage material recovery to finished goods, including reading schedules, recovering rejected material, and recording recovery data.
  5. Maintain materials availability and inventory, ensuring adequate supplies and proper delivery without overstocking.
  6. Perform basic mechanical issues troubleshooting, routine preventative maintenance, and assist maintenance personnel as needed.
  7. Account for finished production accurately, including recovered material and returned goods, and deliver records to the Team Leader.
  8. Load and unload finished goods and raw materials accurately, assist in staging for shipping, and recover packaging.
  9. Perform other duties as required, including maintaining a clean and organized work area, participating in meetings, and staying informed on area changes.
Qualifications and Skills
  • Basic understanding of production functions and related equipment.
  • Knowledge of spacer requirements, basic mechanical functions, and inventory reporting.
  • Ability to detect abnormal equipment conditions and hear alarms.
  • Effective communication skills.
  • Physical ability to walk, bend, lift approximately 50 lbs, and perform scraping.
  • Apply common sense and detailed instructions to troubleshoot equipment and quality issues.
Skills/Abilities
  • Well organized, accurate, attentive to detail, proactive, and a good communicator.
  • Supportive team player with basic computer skills.
