Job description

Yolks on Hastings is looking for a line cook to join our dynamic team. Yolks is a multi-award-winning, busy daytime breakfast and brunch restaurant with two locations in Vancouver. We are seeking a passionate Chef eager to grow their career with a local company.

Responsibilities for Line Cook
  1. Prepare ingredients, cook, and assemble dishes according to recipes.
  2. Perform portion control and minimize waste.
  3. Ensure timely preparation of dishes by restocking ingredients and meeting prep times.
  4. Set up and clean station following restaurant protocols.
  5. Maintain cleanliness of work station and kitchen equipment.
  6. Comply with sanitary, health, and personal hygiene standards.
  7. Ensure the quality and freshness of ingredients and products.
  8. Perform additional tasks as assigned by supervisors or chefs.
Qualifications for Line Cook
  1. 1-3 years of experience in a similar environment.
  2. Understanding of cooking methods, procedures, and knife skills.
  3. Ability to work accurately and efficiently with attention to detail.
  4. Ability to follow cooking directions.
  5. Remain calm in a fast-paced environment.
  6. Be organized and self-motivated.
  7. Ability to stand, bend, stretch, and lift up to 50 lbs.
