Cineplex in Mississauga is seeking an energetic Hourly Line Cook to join our kitchen team. You will prepare meals according to company standards, set up and stock ingredients, follow recipes, and help maintain clean, safe work areas in a fast-paced environment.

This role requires high school diploma or GED, experience in a similar setting, knowledge of safe food handling and sanitation, and flexibility to work extended hours.

• Daily set-up and preparation of food items in the pantry, fry and/or stations or other areas of the kitchen.
• Following recipes, portion controls, and presentation specifications as instructed.
• Restocking all items throughout the shift.
• Cleaning, sanitizing, and organization of kitchen, walk-in coolers, and all storage areas.
• Adhering to all regulations including blood borne pathogens, infection control, use of hazardous materials and fire safety.
• Performing additional responsibilities as requested by the chef or sous chef.

What you will do:

Our Hourly Line Cooks are an integral part of the team who provide an exceptional dining experience to each and every guest. Hourly Line Cooks have a range of responsibilities in the kitchen including strict adherence to health and safety guidelines, maintaining food stock levels throughout the day, and preparing meals consistent with company standards. If you thrive in an energetic, fast-paced and social atmosphere, this may be the opportunity for you!

In this role, your responsibilities include (but are not limited to):

• Daily set-up and preparation of food items in the pantry, fry and/or stations or other areas of the kitchen.

Qualifications:

• You have experience in a similar environment.
• You have knowledge of methods and procedures for serving food, principles of sanitation and principles of safe food handling.
• You have schedule flexibility to work extended hours as required.
• A professional diploma or food services management is an asset but not required.
