Job summary

Cineplex Inc. in Mississauga (The Rec Room Square One) is seeking a part-time Line Cook to join a fast-paced dining team. You will set up, prepare, and plate items across pantry, fry and other stations while following recipes and safety standards.

You’ll restock, clean and organize kitchen areas, and ensure compliance with health and safety regulations. Applicants should have a high school diploma or GED and be flexible with hours; food services education is a plus.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED equivalent.
• Experience in a similar environment.
• Knowledge of methods and procedures for serving food, sanitation and safe food handling.
• Schedule flexibility to work extended hours as required.
• A professional diploma or food services management is an asset but not required.

Responsibilities

• Daily set-up and preparation of food items in the pantry, fry and/or stations or other areas of the kitchen.
• Following recipes, portion controls, and presentation specifications as instructed.
• Restocking all items throughout the shift.
• Cleaning, sanitizing, and organization of kitchen, walk-in coolers, and all storage areas.
• Adhering to all regulations including blood borne pathogens, infection control, use of hazardous materials and fire safety.
• Performing additional responsibilities as requested by the chef or sous chef.

Hourly Line Cooks have a range of responsibilities in the kitchen including strict adherence to health and safety guidelines, maintaining food stock levels throughout the day, and preparing meals consistent with company standards.
