Job Overview

Sammarco is an upscale Italian steakhouse located in old town Toronto. It's the third collaboration between restauranteur David Minicucci and Chef Rob Rossi. following their acclaimed establishments, Giulietta and Osteria Giulia.
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Line Cook to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for food preparation and a strong understanding of kitchen operations. As a Line Cook, you will play a crucial role in ensuring that our meals are prepared to the highest standards, contributing to an exceptional dining experience for our guests.

Responsibilities
• Prepare and cook menu items according to established recipes and standards.
• Assist in the preparation of ingredients, including butchery, fish preparation, vegetable preparations.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen workspace, adhering to food safety and sanitation guidelines.
• Collaborate with other kitchen team members to ensure section is set ready for service.
• Monitor section par levels and maintain the company standard of MEP.
• Follow all food handling procedures to ensure quality and safety.
• Ensure their section is set up ready for service, under the supervision of the kitchen management team.

Requirements
• 1 years experience in a high end kitchen preferred.
• Knowledge of food preparation techniques processes.
• School diploma in culinary arts and asset.
• Familiarity with food handling practices and food safety regulations.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
• Strong and positive teamwork skills with the ability to communicate effectively with kitchen team.
• A passion for cooking and a desire to learn more about the culinary arts and high quality ingredients
