Job Description

The Day-to-Day:

  • Execute tasks as delegated by the Sous Chef, Chef, and/or General Manager.
  • Prepare food for the event space in accordance with Oliver & Bonacini (O&B) standards.
  • Follow all recipes, portion controls, and presentation guidelines to ensure consistency and quality.
  • Maintain an organized prep list and stay on top of all station duties throughout service.
  • Use the FIFO (First In, First Out) method to ensure product freshness and reduce waste.
  • Assist with food inventory management and stock control as needed.
  • Receive, inspect, and properly store all deliveries, ensuring product quality and food safety.
  • Keep all prep areas, equipment, and utensils clean and sanitized, following all hygiene and food safety standards.
  • Adhere strictly to WHMIS and MSDS safety guidelines.
  • Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned to support kitchen operations.
Qualifications
  • 1-2 years cooking experience in a fast-paced restaurant
  • Valid Food Handlers Certificate preferred.
  • Culinary diploma/degree is an asset.
  • Basic understanding of professional cooking and knife handling skills.
  • Ability to take direction and work calmly and effectively under pressure.
  • Able to spend 100% of the time standing
  • Flexible availability evenings, weekends and holidays as needed.
