Century Downs Racetrack and Casino is looking for a Line Cook to join our kitchen team.

Responsibilities

• Provide day-to-day kitchen operations: Prepare and cook food ensuring quality, appearance, and taste, while maintaining a clean and organized kitchen at all times.
• Be a problem solver: Use analytical and critical thinking skills to handle situations effectively. Carry out responsibilities with limited supervision, utilizing strong organizational and time management skills.
• Contribute to team connections: Develop and maintain positive relationships with customers and team members.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• At least 1 year of recent and relevant cooking experience, preferably in hospitality, restaurant, or gaming environments.
• High School Diploma; a combination of education and experience may be considered.
• WHMIS food safe certificate (can be obtained upon hire through Century Casinos).
• Journeyman cook certificate or equivalent, if required.
• Ability to pass a criminal record check.
• Reliable transportation to commute to the property.

Position Schedule Requirements

The successful candidate must be available to work the evening shift from 4:00 pm until 12:30 am.
