Qualifications

  • Must have valid proof of Social Insurance Number and work eligibility.

  • Safely preparing dishes required for a full-service restaurant.
  • Grilling, frying, sautéing, chopping.

We are currently looking for COOKS to join our dynamic team at COAST RESTAURANT. CATCH. COOK. EAT. A true west coast dining experience.

Reporting to the Chef, the COOK is responsible for safely preparing dishes required for a full-service restaurant. The ideal candidate should be motivated by an appetite for food and developing knowledge of various cooking techniques.

SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS:

· FOODSAFE certification is an asset

· 3 years experience in a similar role

· Strong knife skills and workable knowledge of kitchen equipment

· Solid understanding of standard measurements and portions

· Energetic with a passion for food and a positive outlook

· Able to follow oral and written instructions

· Experience as a line cook – grilling, frying, sautéing, chopping, etc.

· Likes to work as part of a team in a high volume restaurant

· Must have physical stamina to lift moderate amounts of weight

· Ability to stand for long periods of time
