Job Description

We are seeking a skilled and efficient Line Cook to join our culinary team in Granton, Canada.

As a Line Cook, you will play a crucial role in preparing high-quality dishes while maintaining a clean and organized kitchen environment.

• Prepare and cook food items according to recipes and quality standards
• Assist in the preparation of ingredients for meal service
• Follow proper food handling and safety procedures
• Maintain a clean and organized kitchen area
• Collaborate with the kitchen team to ensure timely and efficient meal preparation
• Adhere to all food industry regulations and guidelines
• Operate and maintain kitchen equipment, including grills, fryers, and ovens
• Monitor food quality and presentation before serving
• Assist with inventory management and stock rotation
• Communicate effectively with front-of-house staff to ensure customer satisfaction

Qualifications

• 1-2 years of previous fast-paced line cook experience required
• Must have the ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs
• Excellent communication and organizational skills
• In-depth knowledge of food safety and handling procedures
• Manual dexterity to use knives and kitchen appliances safely and efficiently
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously
• Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings and weekends
• Basic math skills for measuring ingredients and adjusting recipes
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
• Team-oriented mindset with a willingness to collaborate with kitchen staff
• Ability to stand for extended periods and work in a hot kitchen environment
• High school diploma or equivalent (preferred)
