Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Line Cook to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for food and a strong commitment to providing high-quality meal preparation in a fast-paced restaurant environment. As a Line Cook, you will play a crucial role in ensuring that our kitchen operates smoothly and efficiently while adhering to all food safety standards.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and cook menu items according to established recipes and standards.
- Must have a MINIMUM of 3 years experience as a pasta cook in a fast paced Italian Restaurant
- Ensure all food is prepared in a timely manner to meet service demands.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen and workstations.
- Follow proper food handling procedures to ensure safety and quality.
- Assist with inventory management, including ordering and stocking supplies as needed.
- MUST BE AVAILABLE TO WORK 5 EVENINGS A WEEK (Mandatory)
- Collaborate with other kitchen staff to ensure efficient meal preparation and service.
- Monitor food quality during preparation and presentation, making adjustments as necessary.
- Adhere to all health and safety regulations within the kitchen environment.
Qualifications
- Proven experience as a cook in a restaurant or food service setting is preferred.
- Knowledge of food handling, preparation techniques, and food safety practices.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
- Strong communication skills and ability to work collaboratively with team members.
- Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
