Duties

• Prepare ingredients for cooking, including chopping vegetables
• Cook menu items in cooperation with the rest of the kitchen staff
• Follow recipes and presentation specifications
• Operate standard kitchen equipment safely and efficiently
• Maintain a clean and sanitary work station
• Ensure all food and other items are stored properly
• Monitor food stock and assist the kitchen manager in placing orders

Requirements

• Proven experience as a Line Cook in a restaurant or similar setting
• Knowledge of various cooking methods, ingredients, equipment, and procedures
• Understanding of food safety practices
• Ability to work in a team environment
• Excellent communication skills
• Certification from a culinary school is a plus
