CCIS is seeking an Operations Coordinator for its Language Instruction for Newcomers to Canada (LINC) program. The role involves organizing English language training for newcomers to support their integration into Canadian society. Successful candidates will need strong communication skills, experience working with diverse populations, and a relevant educational background.
CCIS (Calgary Catholic Immigration Society) is a nonprofit organization that provides settlement and integration services to all immigrants and refugees in Southern Alberta.Since our inception in 1981, we have been a community leader with solid experience in the design and delivery of comprehensive services for our newest neighbours. We deliver these services through a dynamic multi-cultural, multi-denominational and multi-disciplinary team of professionals who collectively speak over 60 languages.
From airport reception to a first job interview, CCIS’s programs and services have been designed to assist immigrants and refugees through all phases of the settlement and integration process. CCIS – Business, Employment and Training Services (BETS) Division
Obtaining sustainable employment is a primary goal for the majority of the clients/students who attend the programs and utilize the services delivered by our BETS division. Our aim is to deliver programs that prepare individuals for economic independence within the realities of today’s Canadian workplace. Our experienced and knowledgeable BETS staff and volunteers achieve excellence by designing and delivering many practical employment and training initiatives.
CCIS’s Language Instruction for Newcomers to Canada (LINC) program is searching for our next Operations Coordinator and is accepting applications from qualified job seekers!
CCIS’s LINC Program strives to deliver programs that provide highly motivated adults with practical and meaningful English language instruction, designed, to help newcomers adapt to life in Canada, reflect on newcomers’ interests and needs, and enable newcomers to provide for the protection, health and well-being of their family. Provide supportive skills to help newcomers find meaningful employment and allow them to make a positive contribution to a supportive community.
This full-time position works in partnership with the Program Manager to organize, coordinate and deliver effective Integrated English Language Training (IELT) programs to newcomers as part of their social, cultural, and economic integration into Canada.
Prepare and maintain client documentation and reporting in accordance with established program practices, which include but are not limited to the following:
